Tastes of Tequesta Tour Stop # 15
At the fifteenth stop on the Tastes of Tequesta Tour, Mayor Abby Brennan hosted a pizza party for over fifty children who had attended summer camp at Tequesta’s Parks and Recreation facility. Domino’s franchise owners Neal and Angela Corcoran delivered seventeen large pizzas for the kids and staff to dig into. Neal began his career with Domino’s the same way that nearly 90% of franchise owners do, as an hourly pizza delivery employee. Soon after, he became a Domino’s store manager, advanced to being a partner and now owns and operates the Tequesta store and two other locations in South Florida.
Domino’s is one of the newest restaurants to open in the Village and its profile has evolved from being a take-out and delivery pizza place to offering indoor dining and an expanded menu. Salads, oven baked sandwiches, pasta dishes, and customized pizzas have joined the traditional pizzas that Domino’s began selling in 1960. Neal’s favorite dish is the large Brooklyn Pacific Veggie Feast with chicken and jalapeno. The Domino’s “Pizza Theater” allows customers to watch their pizza being prepared from start to finish, and a special step assures that children can see and interact with the team members who are preparing their meals. Customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to Neal and he invites you to come and experience “the best customer service around!”
Parks and Recreation Director Greg Corbett founded the Village of Tequesta’s summer camp where he and recreation supervisor Kathleen Worley have provided a safe and fun environment that encourages children to explore areas of interest. In concert with Blue Line Summer Camp, activities include field trips, paddle boarding, surfing, kickball, and tennis. Greg, Kathleen, and recreation specialist Wendy Schmidt also organize and staff programs and events throughout the year including Tequesta Fest, Movies in the Park, Food Truck Pow-Wow, Run for the Pies, activities for seniors, fitness classes and numerous holiday celebrations. More information about programs and events can be found at www.tequesta.org.
