Vacancy - Environmental Advisory Committee

This will be a Sunshine Committee and the meetings will be open to the public.  

The Village Council is accepting Environmental Committee Applications for the newly created Environmental Advisory Committee during the July 11 Council Meeting.  Applications are due by 7/1/19 at 2:00 p.m.  

The Village of Tequesta Environmental Committee shall hold public meetings for the purpose of developing recommendations for best practices, fostering community partnerships, and within the bounds of the Village’s Comprehensive Development Plan, developing recommendations for goals, objectives and policies relative to sustaining and improving the environment of the Village of Tequesta.  The Village of Tequesta Environmental Committee shall report to the Village Council from time to time and shall present its recommendations to the Village Council for further direction, final review and ultimate approval. 

​Boards and Committees

The Village has four (5) active boards and committees, whose members are generally appointed by the Village Council (with a few exceptions). The boards and committees members are volunteers who have an interest in serving in a local governmental non-paid capacity for the betterment of their community.

The Boards are:

  • Community Center Advisory Committee
  • Planning and Zoning Board (and Local Planning Agency and One Cent Sales Tax Oversight)
  • General Employee Pension Board
  • Public Safety Pension Board
  • Environmental Advisory Committee 
Additional boards and committees can be established by the Village Council as the need arises.
