Mission Statement
The primary function and purpose of Tequesta Fire-Rescue is to prevent and mitigate the effects of natural disasters and/or man-made emergencies with the foremost emphasis on the preservation of life and property for the citizens of Tequesta, and citizens of areas that are under contractual agreement for our services, along with their visitors.
About
Tequesta Fire Rescue was established in October of 1993 by a vote of the residents of the Village of Tequesta. The Fire Department, under the direction of Chief James M. Weinand, is made up of twenty paid employees. The Fire Department provides a variety of services including:
- Fire Suppression
- Emergency Medical Services
- Fire Inspections
- Plans Review
- Public Education
- Emergency Management coordination
- and more.
The Fire Department also provides services to the community of Jupiter Inlet Colony through a contractual agreement. For additional information please contact us at our administrative offices.
