Reject Disposal Main Relocation Project (Temporary Location)

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Village of Tequesta Reject Disposal Main Relocation Project (Temporary Location) will be received by the Village of Tequesta until 2:00 P.M. local time on November 17, 2021 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read via DemandStar. The Project consists of the installation of approximately 175 LF of 12” HDPE reject disposal main within the FDOT easement on the west side of the US-1 bridge and into the Loxahatchee River. The construction will also include installation of appropriate fittings, couplings, stiffeners, sample ports, accessories and appurtenances for a complete and functioning system.

Bidding Documents may be viewed and downloaded online via DemandStar.  Hard copies of bidding documents may be obtained from Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 7:30 am – 5:30 pm. Bidding Documents are available on compact disc (as portable document format [PDF] files) for a non-refundable charge of $20, including shipping via overnight express service. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $100 per set, payable to “Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc.”.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 A.M. local time on November 8, 2021 at the Village of Tequesta Council Chambers at 345 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, FL 33469. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.

Bids will be received electronically through DemandStar.  No other bid formats will be accepted. Electronic bids will remain sealed until the date and time bids are due.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

Any questions regarding the specifications and Solicitation process must be submitted in writing to Tammy Culpepper at Kimley-Horn.  

Questions and requests for clarification and additional information must be received prior to the Deadline for Submission of Questions on November 10, 2021 AT 5:00 PM local time.

Pursuant to Section 2-355 of Palm Beach County Ordinance No. 2011-039, and the purchasing policies of the Village of Tequesta, all Solicitations, once advertised, are under the “Cone of Silence” until the appropriate authority has approved an award recommendation, rejected all responses or some other action by the Village to end the selection process. This limits and requires documentation of communications between potential Bidders and/or Bidders on Village Solicitations, the Village’s professional staff, and the Village Council members.
