Cleaning, Preparation, and Coating Ground Storage Tanks

Sealed bids for the construction of the Cleaning, Preparation, and Coating Ground Storage Tanks (Project) will be received by the Village of Tequesta, via Demand Star, until 2:00 PM local time on December 15, 2023, at which time the bids received will be publicly opened virtually on Demand Star and read. The Project includes the exterior cleaning of two (2) existing ground storage tanks at the Village of Tequesta Water Treatment Plant. The first tank is 0.75 million gallons, and the second tank is 2.0 million gallons. The total surface area of the two tanks that need to be cleaned, prepped, and coated combined is approximately 35,000 square feet (sf).

Bidding documents may be viewed and downloaded online at Demandstar.  Hard copies of bidding documents may be obtained from Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. on Mondays through Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM with a prior appointment. Bidding documents are available on compact disc (as portable document format (PDF) files) for a non-refundable charge of $60, including shipping via overnight express service. Alternatively, printed bidding documents may be obtained from Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon receipt of payment for the bidding documents. The non-refundable cost of printed bidding documents is $120 per set, payable to “Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc.”.

Pre-Bid Conference

A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:30 PM local time on November 30, 2023, at the Village of Tequesta Council Chambers at 345 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, FL 33469. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

Questions

Any questions regarding the specifications and Solicitation process must be submitted via email to Peter Vansickle.   Questions and requests for clarification and additional information must be received prior to the Deadline for Submission of Questions on Friday, December 8, 2022, at 5:00 PM local time.

Pursuant to Section 2-355 of Palm Beach County Ordinance No. 2011-039, and the purchasing policies of the Village of Tequesta, all Solicitations, once advertised, are under the “Cone of Silence” until the appropriate authority has approved an award recommendation, rejected all responses or some other action by the Village to end the selection process. This limits and requires documentation of communications between potential Bidders and/or Bidders on Village Solicitations, the Village’s professional staff, and the Village Council members.
