Application to Serve on a Village Committee

Environmental Advisory Committee

The Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC) to help ensure the well being of all the areas natural and public resources, as well as the general well being of all residential and commercial landscaped and vegetation areas in the Village.   Council understands negative impacts on the Villages environment and its natural and public resources can come from sources from within and from outside of the Village and with proper education and regulation may be controlled or mitigated.  This committee is comprised of seven (7) members whom are residents of the Village of Tequesta.

The EAC meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 2:00 pm in the Council Chambers. 

Applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in order to be considered by the Village Council during the February Regular Council Meeting. Questions:   contact 561-768-0440.  

Planning and Zoning Advisory Board Alternate Member Vacancy

The Planning & Zoning Advisory Board meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m. to review and make recommendations to the Village Council regarding applications for site plan review, signage requested in conjunction with site plan review and any other reviews related to planning, zoning and development requested by the Village Council.  The Board also sits as the Local Planning Agency and serves as the Village Infrastructure Surtax Citizen Oversight Committee.  

The Board is open to all incorporated Tequesta residents over 18 years of age, and must be a registered voter within the Village of Tequesta. 

Applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in order to be considered by the Village Council during the February Regular Council Meeting. Questions:   contact 561-768-0440.

Boards and Committees


The Village has four (5) active boards and committees, whose members are generally appointed by the Village Council (with a few exceptions). The boards and committees members are volunteers who have an interest in serving in a local governmental non-paid capacity for the betterment of their community.

  • Charter Review Board (will sunset in February 2022)
  • Environmental Advisory Committee
  • Planning and Zoning Board (and Local Planning Agency and One Cent Sales Tax Oversight)
  • General Employee Pension Board
  • Public Safety Pension Board

Additional boards and committees can be established by the Village Council as the need arises.
