Civilian Firearms Safety Courses

Your Tequesta Police Department, once again, was able to secure state grant money to hold Civilian Firearms Safety courses that will run through June 2024. This grant, provided by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), has allowed us to purchase new equipment in order to host and run this program. There is absolutely no cost to anyone who participates in this invaluable course!

Tailored for Tequesta residents, business owners and anyone employed   within Village limits, this course aims to instill responsible firearm ownership and usage.  The session commences with a comprehensive presentation on firearm safety and use, transitions to an immersive virtual reality simulation, and concludes with live firearm shooting at the range. Sessions start promptly at 8:00 AM and will end at  5:00 PM.
