WM#2 Beach Rd Phase 2 Water Main Replacement

Sealed bids will only be accepted via DemandStar for the WM#2 Beach Rd Phase 2 Water Main Replacement construction project (Project) until 2:00 PM, local time, March 05, 2026, at which time all bids received will be publicly opened virtually on DemandStar and read. Bids received after the time and date specified will not be considered.

The project scope includes all labor and materials necessary to perform replacement of approximately 5,400 LF of water main with new 10-inch PVC water main. The project shall include all piping, fittings, couplings, accessories and appurtenances, site restoration, temporary provisions to maintain water service to residents to the extent practical, testing, bacteriological clearance, pressure testing, water service connection, removal and/or grout filling of the existing piping as specified, obtaining all required permits, compliance with permit conditions, Village of Tequesta Water Utility Standards and Palm Beach County (PBC) Standards, and any other items depicted on the drawings and described in the Contract documents and reference materials. In addition to infrastructure improvements, this project shall include roadway, swale and shoulder restoration located in the public right-of-way including pavement, signage, driveways, fencing, landscaping and other miscellaneous items.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on February 05, 2026, at 1:30 PM local time at the Village of Tequesta Council Chambers, located at 345 Tequesta Dr., Tequesta, FL 33469. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is not required for bid qualification; however, bidders are encouraged to attend.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the “Instructions to Bidders” section of the bid documents.

Any questions regarding the specifications and solicitation process must be submitted in writing to Allyson Felsburg, Director, Utilities Department at afelsburg@tequesta.org. Questions and requests for clarification and additional information must be received before the deadline for submission of questions on February 25, 2026, at 5:00 PM local time.

Pursuant to Section 2-355 of Palm Beach County Ordinance No. 2011-039, and the purchasing policies of the Village of Tequesta, all solicitations, once advertised, are under the “Cone of Silence” until the appropriate authority has approved an award recommendation, rejected all responses or some other action by the Village to end the selection process. This limits and requires documentation of communication between potential bidders and/or bidders on Village solicitations, the Village’s professional staff, and the Village Council members.
